Buenos Aires

Calafate
As the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park, El Calafate is one of Patagonia’s most popular destinations. It’s best known as the luxury base for visiting the Perito Moreno Glacier, arguably the most magnificent glacier not only in Los Glaciares but in all of Patagonia. Bigger than the city of Buenos Aires, the Perito Moreno Glacier is one of Los Glaciares National Park’s biggest and most impressive glaciers. Thanks to its astonishing size and beauty, as well as its easy access from El Calafate, it has become the area’s top attraction. There are several ways to see the glacier including by kayak, boat cruise, or by a simple stroll along the boardwalk facing it.
El Calafate may be a remote town in the middle of the Patagonian desert but it is considered a luxurious and energetic place where people gather to share in the region’s tremendous beauty.
ARRIVING IN BUENOS AIRES
Ushers and directional staff will be located in the arrivals hall once the group has cleared immigration and collected their luggage. All bags will be collected by our meet and greet team and placed safely on board the vehicles. Coaches will be used to transport the guests to the hotel for check in with water on board and sanitizing wipes. As it is a late arrival, guests will check in and overnight.
ELITE GROUP
Due to the schedule of flights, the Elite group will leave South Africa (Johannesburg) on the Monday giving them an extra night in Buenos Aires. The group will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel. They will be welcomed at the hotel with a refreshing drink and entertained by a Bandoneon player. The emblematic instrument and protagonist of Tango will definitely give a Buenos Aires an imprint to your arrival in the city.
MAIN GROUP
Due to the schedule of flights, the Main Group will depart South Africa (Cape Town) on the Tuesday.

Walking/Bike tour to the Paris of South America: Recoleta & Palermo Parks
This tour takes you to Recoleta Cemetery, where you will be blown away by the stories hidden behind the tombs of the most important families of the Argentine society, the Basilica Nuestra Señora del Pilar, a fantastic example of architectural styles of the XVIII century, the Recoleta Cultural Centre, the old monastery of the “Recoleto”monks, before continuing across to the impressive main building of the Faculty of Law and the cutting-edge monument of Buenos Aires, the Floralis Generica, the famous steel flower that represents the postmodern era of the city.
The heart of Palermo is this stretch between El Salvador and Nice to Vega known as Palermo Soho. The streets surrounding Plaza Palermo Viejo are lined almost entirely with cool cafes, white-walled designer boutiques and “casaschorizo” (long, narrow single-story houses built in the late 19th century).
You’ll find a small plaza labeled Plazoleta Cortázar on your map and known by locals as Plaza Serrano. This tiny, circular plaza is ringed with brightly painted cafes whose tables spill out onto the sidewalk. Almost every night of the week, Plaza Serrano overflows with revelers. On weekends, both Plaza Palermo Viejo and Plaza Serrano are the sites of popular street fairs.
Full day activity for the whole group – Estancia la Republica
Full Argentine traditions day at a very exclusive property with its own lake and private animal reserve (carpinchos, deers,alpaca and birds live freely). The gaucho and the horse as protagonists of the culture of working with animals and crops. All the traditions of the Argentine countryside can be experienced a mere 60minutes from the City of Buenos Aires.
Reception with empanadas and excellent wines as perfect accompaniment. Meanwhile, grilled on a low fire for hours, the typical asado will be another attraction, with the barbecue area showing off a vast display of different juicy meet cuts.
Some of the highlights include recreation of criollo traditions, with a great display of horses and gaucho skills demonstrations,folk music shows, taming of horses by Indians (horse whisperer technique).

Nativo Experience 4×4 adventure: 3 Hours
Nativo Experience is a half day 4×4 excursion along the shores of Lake Argentino. With an anthropological approach, a journey through time is made, exploring the passage of man through these lands and rediscovering stories of the first expeditions and the brave adventurers who ventured into the unknown. Between the cliffs and with views of the Andes Mountains, the excursion focuses on the first contacts of these expedition members with the indigenous peoples, to then delve into the Tehuelche world. Along the shores of the lake are the caves where that culture left its traces in the rock thousands of years ago, and which today introduce us to its interpretation. An early dinner in the cave is included to conclude this incredible experience.
