Cave Concert

After returning from your inspiring beach walk, we will provide a small lunch menu at the Lodge. The early afternoon can be used to relax in your Suite or in the public areas of Forest Lodge. At 15h30 you will be transferred to Klipgat Caves to enjoy a classic concert with sundowners and canapes. Klipgat Cave lies along the dramatic limestone cliffs of De Kelders and will introduce you to a Stone Age World, when Khoi bushman called these caves home. See how they lived as you visit Klipgat Cave, a World Heritage Site, and snap some breathtakingly beautiful photographs. This is one of only three places in South Africa where such ancient remains have been found. We are able to source a variety of classical musicians to entertain guests as they soak up the natural wonders for this afternoon affair

Coastal Safari

With some of the most pristine beaches in the world, experience everything from solitary walks along the water’s edge, historical cave tours led by knowledgeable guides, sun tanning with whales in front of you.The trip will include a 2 hour whale watching experience, a visit to the beautiful De Hoop nature reserve to explore the marine life and tidal pools

Dinner in milkwood forest

The perfect setting for a relaxed dining experience in an authentic setting. A private set up will be prepared in the Milkwood forest with fairy lights set lighting up a magical oasis. The group will have a braai dinner prepared with the best ingredients and cosy fires lit to set the perfect evening for laughter and enjoyment

Living the Future Tour

Take a tour with heart as you discover how the entire Grootbos experience has been designed around benefitting the community and environment around you. Learn and connect as you witness how various projects are changing lives and conserving this protected wilderness. All guests will participate in a harvest and cooking experience as they prepare freshly made stone baked pizzas in the village.

Winemake culinary affair

One of the many award winning wine makers will host the group during an evening of culinary surprises. Guests will have the opportunity to engage with and enjoy wines from one of the Overberg winemakers with a tailor made food experience to accompany it. The winemaker will guide them through this journey as they enjoy a meal fit for royalty.
