Clothing
The dress code in UAE ranges from beach chic to smart casual but conservative for most restaurants and establishments. With Dubai being a muslim country, it is advisable to be conscious of your body language, attire to respect the local culture.
Choose neutral tones and light fabrics, preferably cotton. These fabrics work best in a hot climate. We recommend that you pack a couple of long sleeved shirts and a pair of long trousers. The evenings can be chilly and they are also good for keeping mosquitoes and other insects at bay.
Remember to bring a warm jacket. Although we are moving into spring and the weather during the day is still warm, the evenings are cool.
A good durable pair of trainers is always a great option, however you will find that comfortable sandals and open shoes are what works best. You should also pack a pair of sandals for around the pool and beach days.
Remember you swim wear and sun hat.
Sunscreen
Choose a sunscreen with a high SPF or sun protection factor of between 30 and 50. Do not underestimate the power of the Arabian sunshine.
Sunglasses
It is a good idea to pack a pair of sunglasses as the glare from the sun during the middle of the day can hurt your eyes and give you a headache, especially if you are not used to it.
